Still remember the first day of 3rd semester. Mr.KMK (HoD) Electric Machines - I, we were not having first hour. (Opening day - only 2nd hour). Class was in N Block - opposite to main campus, think the room no was 204. We were there much ahead of time, but was exploring the kirukkal's written in the bench.
As soon as the class started, my beloved friend Bala said something on the kirukkal written on the bench which i had a look. But the next moment i was caught by KMK for watching the time on my watch. He thought that i was looking at the watch.
" Eppo than class arambichirukku, athukulla watch parkariya? nee veliye pogariya ellay naan pogattuma " - then next minute was out of the very first class of 3rd sem.
Barring HoD & GKG, rest of the department was fine with me.
But that happiness did not last long. We had applied mechanics paper in 3rd sem, for which we had a lady lecturer (for first time) forgot her name, but later came to know that she is a distant relative of my friend Ramachandra prabhu. Problem started with a special class declaration where both her & HoD were in locker heads. Both wanted the same hour, one claiming the precedence over the other. Each asking me to tell other that they will take. When i approached HoD, to tell this, then i was asked to leave the department & join mechanical instead as i am supporting her.
I had a really tough time coming out of this mess. Had to literally fall at HoD's feet for this.
For this i had to literally struggle for myself in the department and no one dared to come beside me in support to take HoD head on.
This really pissed me off to move out of the department contact in times other than classes.
Started moving with other department guys in particular Mech. We went on outing to kovai kutralam, 40 kms south west of coimbatore. Joseph,Rams,Yaseen,Vijay & me heading towards our destination.
On the way at alandurai, we stopped for the essentials (guess) purchase & stuffed it in our backbags as in forest area those are not allowed. Backbags had our dresses for venturing into the water. En route we have go past a uphill terrain, during which the bag which contained those essentials broke. (Bag strap gave away - crashing everything inside). On reaching our destination, we had to quench our thirst (!!!) by squeezing our dresses. It was almost a ration for all the guys !!!
First time lit the fag ! there in the waters of siruvani. It was terribly cold water and after playing some fire needed in the body, suitably supplied by joseph.
So guys it all started from there !!! water & fire (pancha boothams) Left one .. still one is with me (occasionally)
